Summary19016: unable to create tables in MS SQL Server during install using dblib
Description

Hi,
I tried to install LimeSurvey in a Debian server,
I installed php_sybase driver (dblib)
During installation LS accepts credentials and connect to DB, it says everything ok, but it didn't create tables in DB, so it fails creating users step.
I had to make a second, temporary, install on Windows+IIS+PHP, complete installation on the same database and then connect to it from Debian installation. In this way it works.

Steps To Reproduce

try to install from Debian with MSL Sql server and php_sybase (dblib) driver.

What's Sybase? It says on php.net that the extension was removed in PHP 7.0.

Hi,
In Debian I have to install php_sybase package in order to see "Microsoft SQL server (dblib)" option in LimeSurvey setup.
Except for database schema creation, it works.

Does Yii 1.1 support that driver?

Sybase and MsSql uses the same protocol (Tabular Data Stream Protocol), so when zufolo441 installed the sybase driver, he actually met the limesuvey dependency for pdo_dblib.

Anyway, I´m with the same issue. Populate DB process goes green but no tables or records actually created.

The only way I found to get ms-sql working from linux is using ODBC driver instead of dblib. see 19050
