Summary06824: PostgreSQL 9.1 - Problems with admin default language
Description

I pushed further tests:

  1. limesurvey standard installation (without script, by the installer).

  2. At the end of the script admin is created (admin1)

  3. Creating a new user superadmin (admin5)

  4. connection and disconnection with admin1 -> Ok

  5. connection and disconnection with admin5 -> Ok

  6. connection, choice of language "French" and disconnection with admin1 -> Ok

  7. connection, choice of language "default" with admin1 -> Ko

  8. connection, choice of language "French" with admin1 -> Ko

  9. connection with any choice of language with admin1 -> Ko

  10. connection, choice of language "default" with admin5 -> Ok

  11. edition of password admin1 -> I put the same.

  12. disconnection admin5 -> OK

  13. admin1 connection, choice of language "default" -> Ok

  14. change the default language settings in the questionnaire (eg, English)

  15. disconnection of admin1 -> OK

  16. admin1 connection, choice of language "default" -> connection ok but in French language

  17. disconnection of admin1 -> OK

  18. admin5 connection, choice of language "English" -> connection ok but in French language

  19. disconnection of admin5 -> ok

  20. connection, choice of language "default" with admin5 -> OK (French language always).

  21. disconnection of admin5 -> ok

  22. connection, choice of language "French" and disconnection with admin1 -> Ok

  23. connection, choice of language "default" with admin1 -> Ko

Moral: I have to connect with admin5 to reset the password of admin1.

Something else:
in pgadmin for the table lime_user change the language setting for the admin backend (admin in the screenshot) and not for others (and admin3 admin2), it is still a car (whatever the chosen language).

Yes, excuse me.
I start a new install of limesurvey build 121025 on Wamp.
at the end, i must create an admin compte and password.

I do it (it's admin1).

I log in limesurvey and i create another admin compte (it's admin5)

After, i try several connection on limesurvey.
steps of connection are on the description.

I do another install of limesurvey on Centos (with postgresql 9.1)
I create this admin compte :
admin (superadmin for limesurvey on the install)
admin2
admin3

I reproduce the step, and i have the same issue.

I notice, when i change the langage on the login page, only the admin's lang on the database change.
for the other (admin2 and admin3 on the capture), there are no change.

If your user profile is set to 'auto' and on login the language in the select box is 'default' then LimeSurvey first tries to pull the language from the browser and if that does not work falls back to the language set in global settings.
